Captain Penelope - Paperback

by Marcus Potter (Author), Cara Potter (Author)

Penelope Penguin has one big dream: to FLY. But penguins aren't built for the sky... or are they?

When Penny spots a sign that reads WANTED: A PILOT, the seagulls fall about laughing. A penguin? A pilot? But Penny studies the maps, the engines and the clouds - and soon she's soaring around the world in her little red plane. Join her as she skims the green mountains of Wales, dodges cheeky monkeys in a Mumbai spice market, catches cherry blossom in Japan and dances to carnival drums in Brazil - all the way to a very special hello at the North Pole.

A joyful rhyming adventure about chasing the impossible, told in bouncing read-aloud verse with richly illustrated scenes on every page. Perfect for bedtime, for dreamers aged 3 to 7, and for anyone who has ever been told "that's just not for you."

Captain Penelope was dreamed up on the way to school by five-year-old Cara and her dad - a story about how an idea, even a small one, can spread its wings and become something real.
