Double Major: Falling & Failing - Paperback

by Alexa Rose (Author)

A deeply personal journey through heartbreak, healing, self-discovery, and hope.

Double Major is a contemporary poetry collection that captures the complexities of growing up, losing yourself, learning to love, and finding the strength to begin again.

Written over four transformative years of college, these poems explore heartbreak, anxiety, loneliness, self-worth, mental health, personal growth, and faith through intimate free verse and vivid imagery. Each piece reflects moments of vulnerability while reminding readers that healing is rarely linear-but it is always possible.

As the collection unfolds, themes of love, loss, resilience, nature, and renewal intertwine to tell the story of a young woman rebuilding her identity one poem at a time. What begins in uncertainty gradually evolves into hope, courage, and the quiet confidence to embrace an unknown future.

Whether you've experienced heartbreak, struggled with anxiety, searched for purpose, or simply longed to feel understood, Double Major offers a comforting reminder that even broken pieces can become something beautiful.

This collection is for anyone learning to let go of the past, embrace growth, and believe that healing is possible.
