by Viktor Kolar (Photographer), Manuel Anceau (Text by (Art/Photo Books)), Jan Balabán (Text by (Art/Photo Books))

With a hint of the surreal and the uncanny, Kolá?'s black-and-white images of Ostrava create a city suspended in poetic imagination

In this expanded edition of Kant's rare photobook, Viktor Kolá? (born 1941) revisits the historical mining town of Ostrava, concentrating on the moments of sudden and unique encounters that subtly hint at a place's changes over time.
