Rucksacks for the Leaf Cat - Paperback

by Dianna Henning (Author)

Rucksacks for the Leaf Cat prompts the reader into questioning the duality of love as well as examining what it means to survive on this delicate planet. There are heartbreaking moments in "Rucksacks," and eloquent nature scenes that mingle with laments regarding war, incarceration, injustice, as well as those wars within our human concerns, our tangled hearts that sometimes move us into the ethereal. These are poems that touch upon the metaphysical, that render prayerful attention to details, and that finally lift us.This book threads sunlight across mountainous terrain, and spills starlight "when night balances its books." Finally, The Leaf Cat is wily and pays homage to the imagination while also recognizing that what's real is magical enough.
